About a year ago I put my SLR away since I very much enjoyed the quick feedback of the Canon A70 digicam... what I missed was the control and lens variety that come with an SLR. I got a Canon Digital Rebel (aka EOS-300D) for birthday this year. Before I decided on it I read a plethora of reviews on line. Here are a few good ones:

Like many reviewers will say, this camera is a great choice if you really want the Canon 10D but want to spend far less :) . Canon (very likely) released the Digital Rebel to entice consumers into investing into the Canon-EF lenses and then work they way up to the professional cameras like the 10D. That is my current plan.

Canon has a few sites that would be good resources before and after purchasing a Rebel...

And speaking of lenses... for x-mas I really want a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (see it reviewed). Well, maybe if I'm good. In the mean while I have decided to pickup a SIGMA Flash after reading over some favourable reviews:

Finally, here are links that are not directly related to the Rebel...

Here is a series of articles that talk about the benefits of SLR

Some of the pix have already made them into my gallery. Here are some shots from Catan night.
